Got a new iPhone? Or you’re considering getting one? But all your data (photos, contacts, and massages, a.k.a. life) is on your android device and you are worried you’ll have to go through too much trouble to transfer it all.
Well, it’s fairly easy to transit from Android to Apple.
Here’s how to do it:
Step 1: Set up your device on iPhone or iPad to reach the screen titled ‘Apps & Data’.
Step 2: Tap on ‘Move Data from Android.’
Step 3: Open the Google Play Store and download the Apple app ‘Move to iOS’ and open it.
Step 4: Tap ‘Install’
Step 5: Accept the permissions’ request.
Step 6: Select ‘Open’ when it is installed.
Step 7: Tap ‘Continue’ on iPhone
Step 8: Tap ‘Agree’ on your Android device.
Step 9: Tap ‘Next’
Step 10: Enter the ‘12 digits code’ displayed on the iOS device.
At this point the Android device will connect with your iPhone or iPad over a P2P Wi-Fi connection and determine what data will be transferred. It should now ask if you want to transfer your Google Account Information. Options will include Chrome bookmarks, text messages, contacts and the photos/videos stored in your android device.
After the selected items are transferred, devices will disconnect and your Android device will prompt you to take your old device to the Apple Store for free recycling.
Now you just need to sign-in to the accounts you transferred from your old Android device. Once that is done, you are all set to explore the wonders of iOS.
