Apple has been officially granted an experimental license to test 5G wireless technology. The 5G wireless technology will be tested at two locations near California. The license covers both the 28 and 39GHz bands that the FCC has previously approved for the technology.

An Apple’s application with FCC:

These assessments will provide relevant data to the operation of devices on wireless future 5G networks.

Apple will use the 28 and 39 GHz bands, earmarked for earth-to-space transmissions, which is exploring with satellite expertise.

We can see 5G technology which carries both devices like iPhone and iPad models. It will be join the likes of Google, Facebook, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile, who are testing to deploy the next-generation 5G technology in the up-coming years. T-MobileAT&T, and Verizon have already planed for 5G technology
