According to a report from Bloomberg, Apple is developing designs for curved screens and ‘touchless gestures controls’ for the future iPhone models.
A report explained that Apple is working on projects for investigating both ‘air gesture’ and a curved screen design. We expect that the air gestures would allow the users to hover over the screen to control it.
“Apple is also developing iPhone displays that curve inward gradually from top to bottom, one of the people familiar with the situation said. That’s different than the latest Samsung smartphone screens, which curve down at the edges”.
Bloomberg’s report suggests that both of these features are in early stages and could potentially be scrapped. Even if Apple moves with either feature, both will still take two to three years to hit the market.
This is not the first time we’ve heard that Apple is designing the curved screen display. We have heard rumors the same rumors of Apple developing a curved and foldable displays for the future iPhones.
So even if the ‘touchless gestures control’ and ‘curved displays’ won’t be featured in this year’s iPhone lineup, the company is still planning to upgrade them with these features till 2020.
What do you think, will Apple successfully introduce these two features in future iPhone lineups? Let us know in the comments below!
