Google Improves Search Integration for iOS Users

Google has recently announced several updates that improves its search functionality on iOS devices.

These updates include google search extension for iMessage, Google search suggestions on Safari, and drop and drag support on the iPad.

Here’s an overview of the Google’s updates that were announced on Monday.

  • Google Search application for iPhone and iPad now has an iMessage extension. This means that iOS users can now search Google from within iMessage and add their search results to their iMessage conversations. There’s additionally a GIF button for quickly looking for GIFs to share.
  • Enhanced search with Safari on iOS. Google has introduced suggestions for related content on any browser in an iOS device, including Safari.
  • Drop and drag support on the iPad. Users on iOS 11 can easily move content, pictures, and connections to and from the Google application. For instance, a basic tap and hold on an article will now enable a client to drag the link into different applications like iMessage or Notes.
