iOS 11.2.5 Released, Adds HomePod functionality & More.

Apple has released iOS 11.2.5 update for the iPhone, iPad, & iPod with build version 15D60. This update adds support for HomePod which is releasing on 9th Feb, and also adds a few other goodies as well.

iOS 11.2.5 can be downloaded from Apple’s developer center and is available to all users now.  This update also fixed bugs and introduced some security improvements.

HomePod Support

The latest iOS update also enables automatic transfer & setup of Apple ID, Siri, Apple Music, and WiFi settings on the HomePod.

Siri News

Siri has now become very efficient. Now you just have to say “Hey Siri, Play the news.” Not only this, you can further ask for specific News categories which include Business, Music, & Sports.

Other improvement fixes include:

  • The Phone App displaying incomplete information in the call list is now addressed in this update.
  • Solved the issue of Mail notifications to vanish from the Lock screen when unlocking iPhone X with Face ID.
  • Messages issue has now addressed in this update that caused conversations to temporarily be listed out of order.
  • CarPlay issue solved where Now Playing controls hang up after Multiple track changes.
  • Enables VoiceOver to announce battery level & playback destinations.
