How To Connect Wifi Using iPad and iPhone

In the 21st century, connecting to Wifi has become an absolute necessity. Whether you are at a friend’s house for a sleepover, dining at a restaurant that has free Wifi or have a long layover at the airport, you need to connect to the Wifi and catch up on your emails, social networking sites or just to pass your time. This tutorial will guide you how to connect to Wifi on your Apple devices (iPhone and iPad).

How To Connect To Free Or Secured Wifi?

In order to do so simply follow the steps below:

Step 1:

On the Home screen, select the Settings app icon

Step 2:

Next, tap the Wifi button

Step 3:

Turn on the Wifi by enabling the selection button near the top of the display screen.

Step 4:

Now go through the available networks and select the wireless network you want.

Step 5:

Some Wifi networks are secured by a password. The ones that are secured have a lock icon next to them.

Step 6: 

If you select a free Wifi network it will connect automatically. But if you select one that is secured the screen will show a window to enter the password. Once you have done so, simply tap the blue colored join button. If you have entered the correct password, they authenticity would be cleared and you will be connected to the wifi. 

How To Connect To A Hidden Wifi Network?

Some Wifi networks are hidden and then do not appear in the list of available networks, once you turn on the Wifi mode. So, in order to connect to these hidden networks you need to know the exact name of the Wifi network. If you know the exact name, just follow the simple steps below to connect to that network:

Step 1:

Tap the Settings icon on the Home screen to access the settings

Step 2:

Then turn on the Wifi mode by enabling it using the sliding button on the top

Step 3:

Next tap the option of other

Step 4:

Now you need to enter the exact name of the Wifi network. NOTE: IT IS CASE SENSITIVE

Step 5:

Then tap and select the security type. Some hidden networks are not secure so make sure you get this confirmed by your network admin.

Step 6:

Go back to the previous screen and enter the password correctly in order to join.

When you have successfully connected to Wifi network the signal  will appear on your screen. It is pretty straight forward and easy to connect to Wifi on Apple devices. Your device will also remember a secured network if you have entered the password once and it will connect automatically, next time it is available. So you can easily go on and enjoy free wifi signals without getting worried about any complicated settings to deal with.
