Siri is a very well familiarized application in Apple products. It serves as a personal digital assistance and allows you to perform several tasks without much hassle. Siri is activated by just a tap on the microphone icon, ready to interpret your voice input and respond accordingly.  

The seamless voice activated app amazes us by performing various functions in our Apple products. Amongst other features, it can come very handy to set an alarm or a timer. The best thing about is that the process is faster than interacting with clock itself.

So let’s find out how to efficiently use Siri to set alarms and timers.

Activate Siri

Well, this is fairly obvious and easy step, but relevant to the people who are new to Apple products.

Press and hold down the home button to activate Siri.

Alternatively, you can activate Siri by just saying “Hey Siri” provided that you have turned this feature on.


How To Set An Alarm With Siri

To set an alarm with Siri, ask Siri to set an alarm along with your desired time.



If you want the alarm to repeat, you must also add every day or weekday:



In case you lose track of your alarms, Siri can also provide you with the details of all of your alarms including their current status. Just say:



Siri also allows you to change the existing alarm. All you need to do is to tell Siri to change your desired alarm to the new time.



In the case of the turn of events or you simply change your mind; Siri can also assist you in turning an alarm off. You can turn off a specific alarm or if you wish, you can turn off all the alarms as well.

To turn a specific alarm off, tell Siri about the time of that specific alarm.


To turn off all the alarms, simply tell Siri to:



Over the time, our clock system is filled with different alarms and clattered. No worries, Siri can also delete all of them or the specific alarms as well, if you wish to retain some of the alarms.

To delete all the alarms, tell Siri:


In case you have some personal vendetta against a single alarm, tell Siri the cancel the alarm by also mentioning its time.


The difference between turning off and canceling your alarm is that the alarm remains available if you turn it off. However, if you decide to cancel an alarm, it will get deleted and you need to set up a new one from the scratch.

How To Set A Timer With Siri

The Clock app of your Apple device can also be used to set timers, which can come really handy when you want to keep track of the exact time elapsed. Good news is that Siri can also assist you to set timers.

All you have to do is to tell Siri to set a timer and tell its duration.


You can also tell Siri about when to startstop, or simply show the timer by using “start timer”, “stop timer” and “Show timer” respectively.


In case you want to increase or decrease the duration of the timer, you can tell Siri to change it by asking it to change the timer to x time.
